1 Aspen, Colorado – Aspen Mountain, Snowmass
The place to be seen, playground of the rich & famous.
You may bring your own private jet to the Aspen airport,
just 6 km to the ski slopes. President’s Day long weekend in
February is perhaps the busiest, early reservations needed.
2 Vail, Colorado – Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek
Vail is maybe the largest and best ski mountain in the
USA but also try Beaver Creek. Just a 2 hour drive from
Denver Airport.
3 Park City, Utah - Canyons, Deer Valley &
Park City resort mountains
Historic town of Park City with three great ski
mountains. Home of the Sundance Film Festival January
18 - 28, 2018 and host to the 2002 Winter Olympic &
Paralympic Games.
4 Telluride, Colorado
Always highly ranked for the village and skiing. A local
favourite for Colorado residents.
5 Whistler / Blackcomb, British Columbia
(not technically in USA, but too good not to mention)
Great skiing on two mountains, just a 2 hour drive from
Vancouver. Host to the 2010 Winter Olympic & Paralympic
Games

annually with his friends and has skied in many U.S. skiing destinations.

Yhdysvalloissa opiskeleminen on antoisaa,
mutta tajuttoman kallista. Ilman
Thanks To Scandinavian kaltaisia
stipendejä opiskelu olisi mahdotonta,
varsinkin kalliissa New Yorkissa. Ennen
muuttoa kuvittelin Helsingissä ja
Tukholmassa vuokralla asumisen olevan
tyyristä. Lisä-avustusta sekä suurta
nöyryyttä toi saamani TTS:n uusi Kim
Wall Memorial Scholarship, joka perustettiin
ruotsalaisen toimittaja Kim
Wallin traagisen kuoleman jälkeen. Wall
oli TTS:n alumni, ja stipendin hänen nimissään
saaminen oli sekä liikuttavaa
että inspiroivaa.
