 THE CAPITAL OF FINLAND,
 HELSINKI
The capital of Finland is easily reached
by train, car or bus from Lahti. In one
hour, you’ll find yourself in the centre
of Helsinki. Helsinki is surrounded by
the sea, and one of the finest places to
admire is the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress
 ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
The high-speed Allegro train takes you to
the cultural capital of Russia in 2.5 hours
(incl. visa procedure and passport controls
in the train), directly from Lahti Railway
 Station. St. Petersburg is world-renowned
for its art treasures, grandiose museums
and glorious palaces. You can even take the
morning train to St. Petersburg and make
your way back to Lahti in the same evening.
 LAPLAND
 Country’s northernmost province –
Lapland is the home of the one and only
 Santa Claus, round-the-clock sunlight
in the summer and almost guaranteed
Northern Lights every night in the winter.
Lapland is 900 km from Lahti but only
one hour by flight from Helsinki-Vantaa
 International Airport.
