Star Clippers: The world’s largest tall ship The world’s largest sailing vessel (barque) will be launched in 2017 by Star Clippers cruise line. The vessel carries 300 passengers and 145 crew, boasts three swimming pools, four bars, a dining room, a spa and a beauty center. The vessel is also outfitted with Evac vacuum systems and toilets, wastewater treatment systems, and dry and wet waste treatment systems. Evac technology was ideal for Star Clippers’ newest vessel where space is at a premium and respect for the environment is of critical importance. This will be the third Star Clippers vessel for Evac to equip. The Star Flyer and Star Clipper also carry Evac technology. LNG-fuelled high-speed RoPax ferry of Rederi AB Gotland Evac’s vacuum collecting units, vacuum toilets and membrane bioreactors used for wastewater treatment will be found aboard the new LNG-fuelled passenger and cargo ship of Rederi AB Gotland. The vessel will be built at GSI Shipyard in China for delivery in 2018. The ship will operate on the route between the mainland of Sweden and the island of Gotland. She will carry 1,700 passengers and crew. Environmental impact and energy consumption have been very carefully taken into account in the design of the ferry and its optimal hull lines. Rederi AB Gotland was founded in 1865 and it is Sweden’s oldest passenger shipping company. Innovative AmaReina river cruise vessel of AmaWaterways AmaWaterways is a river cruise line that operates worldwide across three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. The company was founded in 2002 and it now has a fleet of twenty vessels. Evac’s systems can be found on many of the AmaWaterways’ vessels. The advanced river cruise vessel AmaReina uses Evac vacuum collection systems, including toilets and collecting units, plus wastewater treatment systems with an advanced membrane bioreactor.
